BNSF Selects Contractor to Build New Intermodal Facility
BNSF Railway Company today announced it has selected T.J. Lambrecht Construction and Walsh Construction as the primary civil contractor to construct its new intermodal facility southwest of Kansas City in Edgerton, Kan.

Gardner’s Annual City-Wide Garage Sale
It’s that time of year again! We are gearing up for our annual City-wide garage sale which will be held on May 7th.
Although it is no longer being hosted by the Gardner City Merchants there are still several convenient places to register around town including Gardner Pharmacy, K & D Spirits, The UPS Store, H & R Block, Wally’s Bar & Grill, Winter’s Chiropractic Services, Murray’s Tailoring, The Laundromat, and Mr. Goodcent’s Subs and Pasta.
The cost to register and have your sale included on the hand- out map is $5.00. Garage sale location maps can be purchased for just $1.00 at all of the above listed businesses.
All proceeds will go toward the Summer Back Pack & Lunch Program which provides local students a backpack filled with food that includes cereal bars, Jell-O snacks, vegetables, juice boxes, canned meals and more. In addition to that the program also allows a hot lunch to be provided to any area child two times per week at a local Gardner Elementary School throughout the summer.
The annual garage sale is a much loved tradition that is still alive and with your help will be bigger and better than ever!
